Introducing: The Let’s Grow Milestone Quilt Pattern

They say “Create the beauty you want to see in the world” — in the case of the Let’s Grow Milestone Quilt pattern it was, “Create the quilt pattern you hoped to find on Pinterest.” This design was inspired by an unsuccessful search for a modern, milestone quilt pattern for my baby coming in May. I wanted to make a milestone quilt to use for monthly photos, but after searching Google, Pinterest, Etsy, I simply couldn’t find one that I liked. Well, “necessity is the mother of invention” and thus the Let’s Grow Quilt pattern came to life!

A monthly milestone quilt is a popular method of photographing the growth of a new baby. If you are looking for the perfect baby shower gift, a quilt for a new grandchild, or a nesting project for your own little one, this is a great pattern to have in your stash. Best of all, this pattern is written at an Advanced Beginner level — no appliqué, no paper piecing — it comes together through a creative combination of HST’s and strip piecing. Ideal for even a budding quilter!

The fabric requirements are listed below, and 3 lovely fabric shops are providing quilt kits. If you are interested in replicating the Cover Quilt, the solid fabrics AGF Pure Solids are available at Cottoneer:

  • Fabric A: Creme de la Creme
