The Snuggle Bug Quilt pattern is designed to be completely beginner-friendly, with 3-color and scrappy/FQ-friendly variations. I designed this quilt for my 3 year old son, who requested a special blanket to snuggle with during nap times. “Snuggle bug” is a pet-name we use for all of our children, and it seemed like the perfect title for this quilt design. The FQ-friendly option evolved, because he requested so many colors that I couldn't settle on just 3 fabrics.
This pattern offers a modern twist on the traditional nine-patch block. It is very beginner-friendly, so if you've been thinking about sewing your first quilt, this pattern is a perfect place to start. If you are an experienced quilter, and want a new, reliable crowd-pleaser, this design is also for you.
